Clean, turbo, manuel, service records... Seems like a nice price to me, but I’m not a Saab expert. I do quite like the 900 two doors, though. What’s the catch, guys?

NP, especially if all the little things like the heated seats and A/C are working. It isn’t cheap for a 900, but appears to have been very well taken care of which is starting to become rare. That said, there could be hidden rust in the drive shaft tunnels or the gearbox could be on the way out. It also isn’t the more desirable SPG version, and is an (imo) ugly color.

It does look quite clean though and well maintained. I don’t see any wheel well or hatch rust. The only other major place for rust on these beauties is the axle portals (not something people take pictures of)
That condition at that price warrants at least a good lookin’ at

If that were anywhere near me, I’d seriously be on their doorstep with cash in hand. The only thing I’d want more is an SPG. It’s a late one with leather, too. Great cars, very hard to kill. Once you’re used to the engine-backwards bit, they’re not too bad to work on, and can be great fun to drive. They can take more boost easily, too. The transmission can be a pain if it has shifting issues, and it takes longer to do the belts than it does the clutch, but otherwise it should give good service. I love me some 900.

The transmission is “reliable” up to ~260 hp which is quite enough for a 2600 lb car :)
Anything over that and you get well versed real quick in the engine/trans R&R process

real nice price for a nice looking car. Never was a fan of those rims but it would be worth that sitting on cinder blocks

What’s the odometer reading? 230? They mean 230,000?

Oh yeah. Been awhile since I’ve done one of those, but fond memories for sure. I remember quite a few crank seals too, always fun.

230,000 is nothing to that engine. I put 348,000 on mine before I blew the original head gasket

Was really hoping to come in here and see you shitting on this for some reason to give me a reason not to call the seller and see if it’s worth making a dumb road trip out of.

haha am I the great naysayer of Oppo? These cars are fantastic, and that is one of the better ones I have seen. Do it, make me proud, and hope the turbo spools well when you get there and forever more!

You are certainly the sage of “that deal could be better”, plus you’ve already had and executed all of the dumb ideas for goofy cars that pop into my head. A 900 Turbo is practically mainstream for you!

haha I have had 6 900’s and 9000’s total. I love them, and I love the way the drive and the whole oddness of them. And when I see a nice one I am forever tempted.
And come on, there must be some dumb beater idea I haven’t tried out! Guess I am glad I don’t have more money to burn...

Oh wait I just caught something, the badging on the rear is wrong. Should be 900 Turbo not Turbo 900 so it has either been smacked back there and fixed or it was de and then re badged. Worth a carfax or an ask on what it wast

Asked with my email along with questions about the A/C, thanks for the heads up, you’re one useful bastard. The Milano and I did our one Texas summer together in business casual, I’m not doing that shit ever again.

no problem - even if it was in an accident if it was fixed well it is still worth considering, but worth knowing about as well. Ha no good in business casual down there. Up here in Maine you can get away with it but I still like to have working AC (the 505’s still works!!!) if I have vinyl or leather going on. You have me on facebook if you need to ask an pressing questions - send me a message!

I call bullshit on a 505 with working A/C!
And muchas gracias, we’ll see what his response is but I’m already about 40% convinced to buy a plane ticket if his response are all good.

Add the heated seats working and you might just make me a liar.
I couldn’t believe it either. Every couple of days I have been putting it on to hear that satisfying click of the compressor coming on and staying on. Going to be a nice summer. Now to work on the notoriously bad sunroof mechanism once I have my new panel in (old one is ugly and has blobs of bondo on it. Not in line with the rest of the car at all
